Essential Study Skills – Rising 7th and 8th Graders

The new school year is on the horizon, and it’s time to get your brain re-engaged and ready for the challenges ahead! One of the biggest challenges all students face is how to STUDY EFFECTIVELY. More than just reading through a textbook, effective studying requires an understanding of HOW YOU LEARN, as well as time management, organization, note-taking, and more. Students in this week-long workshop will explore: How Does My Mind Process Information? What Are Multiple Intelligences? Why Should I Take Notes (And How Do I Use Them)? How Do I Organize My Time and Materials?  There will also be an English and math content review for each student’s specific grade. Limit 6 students.
