Have you ever wished you could speak your own language–one that only a select few of your friends understood? You can probably think of several TV shows and movies that feature languages that don’t actually exist in the real world: Star Trek has characters who speak Klingon; Avatar characters speak Na’vi; and the minions of Despicable Me communicate in Minionese! In this camp, you will learn how to create your own private language. Using ideas put forth by expert language creator David J. Peterson (inventor of languages for Game of Thrones and the Marvel Universe), you’ll spend the week creating an original language as well as codes, ciphers, and hidden messages that will keep your communications secret from the outside world!
