Castles, battles, plagues, feasts…the period between 600-1600 is overflowing with fascinating history. In this camp, students will travel back through time to experience the day-to-day realities of life in the Middle Ages. What was feudalism? How did the lives of peasants differ from those of nobles or lords? What did medieval warfare and weapons look like? Students will also engage in hands-on activities that incorporate aspects of engineering, art, and literature as they design their own catapults, experience a Black Death simulation, study a section of “Beowulf,” and much more!
