Barbara Paul, B.S., M.Ed., owner and creator of Cool Labs Outreach, LLC, received her Bachelor Degree of Science from The Pennsylvania State University. In 2007, she earned her Master’s Degree in Science Education from the University of Pittsburgh.
During Barbara’s career at the University of Pittsburgh, she has acquired over 30 years of biomedical research experience and ~10 years of designing and implementing K-12 programs for the Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Intermittently, Barbara has also taught biology and provided student tutoring at the Community College of Allegheny County.
Her love of science and passion for teaching is her foundation and the driving force behind her new initiative, Cool Labs Outreach. In addition to developing her own new science programs, Cool Labs Outreach will continue to link K-12 students with research scientists via hands-on laboratory investigations.
She is a Pittsburgh native who also enjoys volunteering, hiking, gardening, cooking, baking, and solving puzzles.
