Gabriel earned the title of Fide Master (FM) in 2014 and is currently the 7th-ranked player in Pennsylvania. He has been competing since he was a child, placing third in the National Scholastic Chess Tournament when he was just 10 years old. Since then, Gabriel has won or tied for first place in many tournaments, including the Cleveland Open, 28th King’s Island Open, and the 17th and 18th Pittsburgh Open. Gabriel is a full-time chess teacher and coach, specializing in private lessons for students who would like to compete in tournaments, and tournament-level students who would like to improve their skills.
