In this course students will be taught the fundamentals of using computer software to develop print and interactive documents with single page and multi page structures. The course will begin with an introduction to using the software Adobe InDesign, an industry standard tool for developing multi page formats for print and digital applications. As the course progresses, fundamental tools for design and development will be introduced with increasing complexity.
Each lesson will introduce a guided tutorial on using the software. Following each key segment of the lecture the class will be asked to follow a short exercise independently to further explore the content of the lesson. The exercise will be guided with one on one instruction highlighting what each student is doing well and which areas could use improvement.
